For the third and final time this summer, the Wharf has set up a roller skating rink on Transit Pier. In addition to enjoying a free outdoor skate, you can enjoy DJs and professional skating performances. All ages are welcome, and no pre-registration is required. Adults must bring their own roller skates, but $10 rentals are available for kids. The skating times are different each day, so first check details here.

Unfortunately for those of us with young kids, most D.C. United matches don't kick off until after bedtime. But if you want to watch just part of the match in a lively environment, check out the free watch party on Saturday at The Wharf. DCU plays New England at 7:30 p.m., and Pearl Street will be full of fun activities.

In conjunction with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday night will screen Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. A live orchestra will perform John Williams' score as the action (and music) unfolds in the film. Tickets are between $40-$60, and gates in Colombia, Md. open at 6:30 p.m. You can find more information, including parking details, on the MPP website.
